Puerto Ricans are American citizens, but the culture is wonderfully different while comfortably familiar. For American citizens, that means you dont even need a passportnor a visa! One time Ill go to a beach filled with lots of activities; the next time, I might take a favorite book and secure my quiet spot. That is to say, dont let the size of Puerto Rico mislead youthough only 100 miles long, this island boasts an incredible bio-diversity and countless outdoor adventure opportunities. Heres where size does matter: all these adventures are only a short drive from your hotel or resort, no matter where youre headed! Such activities as hiking, climbing, spelunking, kayaking, canoeing, golfing, horseback riding, snorkeling, scuba diving, and camping are available throughout the island. When youre finally all tuckered out from your days adventures, settle down on the beach and watch the sun disappear over the bay while whales breach in the distance. Put camera at the top of your packing list for this island vacation; you wont regret it!
